1300 sq. foot theater with an 800 sq. foot stage, capacity 50 including participants and audience

The Mathewson Street Theater is an intimate and flexible performance space on the fourth floor of the Mathewson St Church in Downtown Providence. Consisting of an open and configurable room with large, arched windows which provide a view of the Providence skyline, the Mathewson Street Theater has a small proscenium within the large room, which can be used as playing space or backstage space. We are a welcoming community, encouraging use of our space for: performances, concerts, rehearsals, classes, forums, photo/video shoots, fashion events, and more.
